This essential oil is steam distilled from peppermint leaves and is often used in aromatherapy because of its natural menthol content, which provides a fresh, uplifting fragrance and a cooling sensation. It is used in massage oils to aid digestion and to promote clarity and alertness. In skin care, it tones and stimulates, helping to promote a healthy appearance; in hair and scalp treatments it can control excess oil. Its fresh, bright, minty top notes with sharp, grassy undertones blend well with lavender, rosemary and eucalyptus.
Usage
